Method: At GREGG International School classes are student-centered and tailored to meet the unique needs of our diverse student body. We take great pride in our caring and professional teachers who are responsible for guiding children through both academic and personal development. Our 1:7 teacher-student ratio ensures that your child receives plenty of help and encouragement to become a successful learner inside as well as outside the classroom. Courses: GIS offers two courses of study - the International course and Bears Course. The International Course is designed for native or near native English speakers, i.e. students for whom at least one parent is a native English-speaker or the student speaks English at a proficient level as assessed by the course teacher. For families who wish to educate their child in English but do not speak English at home, GIS offers the Bears Course. This two-year course of study is designed to give non-English speaking children the opportunity to develop the language tools necessary to move them into the international course. Admissions: Applications are accepted year-round. Prospective student’s applications pass through a screening process and, for selected candidates, personal interviews with the parents and student. 2-2-6 Minami Saiwai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa-ku 220-0005 Tel: 045-312-0037, Fax: 045-311-8864 www.gis-j.com yokohama@gis-j.com |
